Mercy~Physician Community PHO (M~PC PHO) was established as a partnership between physicians on staff at St. Joseph Mercy Port Huron Hospital, to support improved access to comprehensive, high quality health care services for St. Clair and surrounding counties’ population.
M~PC PHO formed to manage the contractual relationships between health plans and the associated quality and utilization programs. In doing so, M~PC PHO strives to develop experience maintaining high quality hospital and physician services within pre-established targets for utilization and financial performance.
About Mercy Physician Community PHO
Established in 1997, Mercy Physician Community PHO, LLC is a physician hospital organization that is made up of 51 PCP's, 121 Specialists and St. Joseph Mercy Port Huron Hospital. The M~PC PHO office is located on the second floor of St. Joseph Mercy Port Huron Hospital
M~PC PHO offers many services to our partners such as: referral management, office in-services, educational programs, newsletters and delegated credentialing to name a few. It is a goal of the PHO to assist our partners in becoming knowledgeable and efficient in managed care and to that end; the PHO provides tools and services so that offices can better meet the challenges of the complex world of managed care.
